Lyra: Low Sequence
Mondays 7:00 PM
Explore the artistry of aerial movement in this innovative class designed for both beginners and seasoned aerialists working close to the ground. Under Nik's instruction, you'll master fluid transitions and discover unique movement pathways while developing your personal style on the lyra. Build confidence and creativity through structured sequences that emphasize both technical precision and artistic expression.
Athleticism or dance NOT required. We'll get you there.

Transform your aerial practice through targeted conditioning designed to unlock your next level of lyra skill acquisition. Build the specific strength, flexibility, and body awareness needed to achieve your most challenging skills through dynamic drills and focused technique work. Elevate your aerial toolkit with a balanced blend of endurance training and precision exercises that create a strong foundation for advanced sequences and sustained progress.

Unstuck Stretching
Tuesdays 6:00 PM
Flexibility for everyone from stiff or bendy beginners, to professional acrobats and contortionists. Together we'll warm up, bend your joints, strengthen your muscles, and roll around on the floor in preparation for your body to do interesting hard things.
EDS-friendly, trauma-informed, and science-backed instruction.
All levels welcome.
Skybound Foundations
Tuesdays 7:00 PM
Come as you are.
Perfect for newcomers, this aerial class combines grit with excitement as you safely learn the fundamentals of aerial silks, hoop, hammock, and more. As a zero-expectations class, you will not need to have had any experience or exercise to safely and successfully get in the air. This is the class you take if you've ever said, "I'd love to learn aerials, but I should go to the gym and work out first."
Starting from the ground up under our expert guidance, you'll develop your inner strength, master the muscles, and build confidence in a supportive and exhilarating environment.
All levels welcome, including complete and total beginners.




Raw Performance Lab

Elevate your act to new heights with our Raw Performance Lab, led by the fierce and captivating Havoq Luscivia. This artistically dynamic circus course is designed for entertainers who crave to push boundaries and upgrade their performances.

Expert Edge: Gain insider tips and tricks from Havoq Luscivia, a master entertainer known for their bold and mesmerizing acts. With personalized feedback, Havoq will help you sharpen your edge and polish your performance to perfection.

Daring Exploration: Break free from the ordinary and explore new, provocative techniques and styles. Structured for safety and longevity, this class encourages fearless experimentation, helping you discover thrilling ways to captivate your audience.
How does it work?
-
Ground-based acts: Bring a structure of your act (choreography outline if you have it, improv outline if you're improvising, etc).
-
Burlesque acts: Bring either your costumes or a list of them and their removal sequences.
-
Prop-based acts: Bring your prop and the skills you're comfortable with on it.
-
Aerial acts: Bring at least 1 mount/climb and 3 skills you're safe and solid executing. You can use our apparatus or bring your own.
-
All act types: Please bring the song you'd like to use for this act.
Each week will dig into a different element so that by the end of the quarter, you'll have a stage-ready act that showcases the new expansion of what you're capable of.
Drop-ins are welcome, but you'll get the most out of it by attending the full quarter.
Prerequisite pass-offs required to attend, by student request.
Aerial Hammock
Technique Level 1: Wednesdays 7:00 PM
Ready to explore the magical world of aerial hammock? Whether you're dreaming of your first time on stage or ready to level up your drops, this class series welcomes every body-having thing-doer to swing, spin, and soar! You'll learn everything from safe entries and exits to striking poses and thrilling flips - all at your own perfect pace.

Juggling: Prop Dexterity

All-levels juggling taught by world-famous Taylor Glenn, where dropping is an essential part of the journey! Discover the fascinating cognitive and physical benefits of object manipulation - from enhanced hand-eye coordination to improved neural pathways - all while building real-world dexterity skills. Taylor breaks complex patterns into accessible victories, teaching you to embrace (and even enjoy!) the process of learning through failure. Perfect for every body-having thing-doer ready to level up their brain-body connection - no experience needed but experienced jugglers will gain high-level skills as well. Grit & Grind Open Gym Rehearsal Space offers a dynamic environment for performers of all circus disciplines to hone their skills, experiment with new ideas, and perfect their routines while under the safe watch of our crew. Whether you're an acrobat, flow artist, dancer, aerialist, or any other performer, this space is designed to foster the expansive creativity and growth our community is capable of. Bring your best for an hour of focused practice that will leave you feeling accomplished and determined.
All rooms have several hours a day of Open availability. There are extremely limited slots to allow you as much focused practice as possible. Reserve your room or rig point early and make sure to attend every Open you sign up for.
You may use our props/apparatus or bring your own, as long as yours are safe and from a reputable source. If you're doing aerial, ask our Host to rig your apparatus for you.
All levels welcome for Ground trainings.
Newer aerialists will need to have attended at least 6 weeks of Skybound or a prior equivalent before signing up for Open Aerial trainings.
